However, for homeowners termite are the number one threat to their home, so having an annual termite inspection is essential. Most homeowners combine their termite inspection and “spider spray” in the same service, to save money and time.

Termite Inspections, Termite Treatments and Termite Protection in Spring Gully

With the large areas of bush, Spring Gully is a real termite hotspot. Termite can travel up to 100 m from their nest, so almost all homes will be in the range of termite nest!

Regular termite inspections not only look for evidence of termite activity, but will identify areas of termite damage and spot conditions around the property that may make a termite attack more likely. Our comprehensive report will contain a list of recommendations to remedy these issues.

However, the best way to provide long termite termite protection is to have a termite treatment. There are two types of termite managements system, either a chemical treatment to the soil or the installation of a termite baiting system.

For those building a new home or doing extensive renovations, it’s important to consider installing a termite protection system at the planning stage. Our team at Go Pest will happily talk you through the options that best suit your property.

Key Pests in Spring Gully

Without doubt, termites are the biggest threat to people’s homes. However, several other pests can cause pest problems for homeowners in Spring Gully.

The large areas of bush not only means there are plenty of termites, but there are lots of spiders too! Spiders are often the first pest to emerge in Spring, so a “spider spray” when the weather starts to warm up is a great idea.

With the Spring Gully Reservoir and numerous creeks in the area, mosquitoes can also be a problem in the warmer months.

European wasps can ruin outdoor spaces during Summer and into Autumn. Due to their aggressive behaviour they are best dealt with by professional pest managers, who are skilled at wasp nest removal by identifying the location of the nest and destroying it safely.

Rodents are more of a winter problem as they come inside looking for warmth and shelter. Go Pest provide a range of professional rodent control solutions.

About Spring Gully

Spring Gully is just 5 km from the centre of Bendigo and can be considered as one of its outer suburbs.

However, Spring Gully was originally a separate village, supporting minors who exploited the surrounding area. The reservoir was in place at least before 1870, when it was mentioned in the Bendigo Advertiser in relation to discussions between local council and minors about access to the reservoir.

Today Spring Gully is mainly a residential area with a recreation reserve (AFL, soccer, cricket) and primary school.
