For homeowners in Rochester, a pest treatment once a year – often referred to as a “spider spray” – will keep the most common crawling pests at bay.

An annual termite inspection is a must, so many customers opt to have their general pest treatment carried out at the same time as their annual termite inspection to save money on two separate services.

For business owners, Go Pest can create regular, tailored service plans to ensure premises remain pest free. All the necessary documentation is provided to ensure that businesses stay compliant with the latest regulatory requirements.

Termite Inspections, Termite Treatments and Termite Protection in Rochester

Termites are active all year round, with food and water in plentiful supply in Rochester. Did you know that termite damage is not covered by standard home insurance policies? This is why it is essential to have a professional termite inspection once a year.

Our professional termite inspectors will not only be able to inform you about whether termites are attacking your home, but will also provide insights into the condition of the property and determine the likelihood of termites gaining entry. Recommendations will be given on how best to address any issues that are noted.

With termites capable of causing significant damage in as little as six months, we always recommend having a termite treatment and installing a termite protection system around your home.

If you are building a new home or thinking about carrying out renovations, note that a termite protection system is needed – it is a requirement of the Australian building regulations. Please give us a call at the planning stage and we will be happy to give you advice on this.

Key Pests in Rochester

While termites pose the greatest threat to properties, spiders pose a threat to families and pets. A general pest treatment is an easy way for homeowners to minimise the risk.

During the summer months, the European wasp can be a menace. It is considered a dangerous pest due to its particularly aggressive behaviour, which is why their nests should always be destroyed by a professional experienced in wasp nest removal. At Go Pest, we have the products and the necessary protective equipment to do this safely.

Due to its proximity to the Campaspe River, mosquitoes can be a problem in Rochester, particularly after rain.

Rodents can be a problem year round, but particularly in the winter when they enter buildings looking for warmth and food. Our expertise in rodent baiting allows us to deliver fast, effective results whilst still keeping safety as our number one priority.

About Rochester

The historic town of Rochester sits on the banks of the Campaspe River, which flows north to the New South Wales border at Echuca. Originally named Yalooka, Aboriginal people of the Pinpandoor tribe are the traditional custodians of the land. European settlement in the 1840s changed the area significantly, with Rochester’s iconic Shamrock Hotel, built in 1912 by local horse breeder Thomas McMaster, remaining a testament to these times.

Today, the charming town is well maintained, with many old buildings having been restored. It is a centre of sporting opportunities, with two golf courses, an olympic sized swimming pool, a number of football ovals and tennis and netball courts. Impressive for a small population of just over 3000 people.

The Rochester Silo Artwork, which features huge murals of native species (pictured above), is a highlight of the town. The Rochester Mural Festival held in late summer brings artists and art lovers to the town each year.
